Strong Dawg Pump & Run Challenge is an event where you bench press a percentage of your body weight to get a head start on your 5K run. The more you rep it out, the more time you shave from your final 5K time. We are looking for the most well rounded individuals and teams of athletes in D.C. to title as 2013's Strong Dawg.

Strong Dawg was founded by Daren Phillips and Patrick Nienaber, both fitness professionals in Washington, DC area who recognized a need for an event that combined two core aspects of fitness – endurance and strength. So they took an athletic competition concept, pump and run, and turned it on it’s head, by creating the highly social, highly adventurous, and highly competitive, Strong Dawg Challenge.
